Re: annual leave

based on contract of employment, I should give 2 weeks notice..so,I hv tendered my resignation on 20th of june and my last day will be on 3rd f july.. I hv 4 days annual leave remaining..then, i fill up the leave application form..let say my head of department don't approve..in fact, they want to pay us for the annual leave..what if we don't agree..because I would like to join my new employer as soon as possible.pls give your opinion..thanks in advance..

Although under the Employment Act, you are entitled to take your leave before you go, I wouldn't fight over it since the employer is willing to pay for the balance of leave. I would just tell my new employer that I would start work on 4 July.
