Re: Termination Notice Period

I have been given a 2 months notice by my company effective June 1.
My supervisor has asked me to work till end of June. According to my company, I will get my full Jun salary and then company will pay for one month notice in lieu of work in July as the notice time start ticking from Jun 1. My employment contract states that either party should give 2 months notice period.

Pls advise if I should get 2 months salary still for the termination notice and also my full Jun month salary.

Your company is correct by paying the one month salary in lieu of notice for the short notice and not two months as suggested by you. By the way, you have no problem with the termination of service by your employer?

Thanks for asking.
Termination due to company downsizing and no longer need my position. If I refuse to accept the terms of the termination and layout benefits and do not sign the letter due to some dispute in claims, etc...what can then my company do...from my side I will take it to IR?
