Re: annual leave

I want to apply leave but was rejected by my boss and I ask him why? He said I do not have the right to question him b'coz leave approval is up to him to decide.

Does this apply in the Labour Law of superior's right?

It looks like the work relationship is not good. Do you have leave in the first place? Is there any specific procedure on leave application and did you follow the procedure?

Yes, I did follow the procedure. 5 days prior of the day. In fact, I did give more than a week.

Do you think I should go and see our HR?

I have a feeling he is acting base on bias b'coz he wont treat my other colleague that way.

In fact, it should be up to my section leader to approve b'coz they will have to look into our area if we were not around and not him but looks like he is also not trusting the section leader capability.

Do you think I will get "Warning letter" if I were to take MC on that day since he already rejected my application?

Now that you have a HR, you should see them first before doing anything.

In fact, I did took MC where my dept head rejected my leave eventhough my section leader tyring to negotiate with him until last minute.

He looks not happy with it saying that I purposely do it. He told me if I can't co-operate with dept, then I can ask him to transfer me out.

I think the problems does not lies that I am not happy working now or with my colleague. I think he is trying to find way of kicking me out?

In fact, all our colleague knows where is the problem and we do not like the way of his management style but we just can't do anything b'coz he is a dept head.

Pls advice do he have the authority to say that without any proof that I am failing in my responsibility of my job.

I think he is acting discrimation againts me only.

Who should I consult? Bring it to Div head or HR.

Better bring to your Div head first and if still not solved, then to HR.
