My company will be closing down one of the dept which I am involved. My salary is above 5k.
May I know what should I expect and assume to be fair procedures by the company? I am assuming that I should be entitled:-
a) 2 months notice or salary in lieu as stated in my employee handbook termination notice by both parties. b) Lay off benefits of 15 days since I've worked for 2 years.
Is it possible for the company to issue termination letter with either one of the above stated or without BOTH of the above stated? I am pretty confused as I am not protected under Employment Act and what regulations are there to protect me?
