Re: Overtime

In my employment letter, it says that if I am required to perform work beyond the normal working hours, I will be compensated in accordance to the current law. Since I'm still under 3 month probation, my 1st month salary was given without the OT. My employer told me verbally that I will not be paid OT during probation period. FYI, I my working hrs starts from 9.00 am - 6.45 pm. and during the first month probation, I have to stay until 10.00 pm everyday (Mon - Fri). I even was required to come to work on Saturday & Sunday.

I don't understand. In the employment letter says one thing and my employer says another. Do you think that I was being cheated? What shall I do? Shall I file or report to the Labour Dept.?

You are right, you should complain to the Labour Department.
