Re: Termination of Employment.

I just started working for this company for 2 months. Suddenly one day they announce that they have sold the part of the company and no longer in need of my division. With immediate effect we are terminated from our services. For my case as I have not been confirmed, I will be paid 2 weeks indemnity in lieu of notice, the last 4 days of the current month and one month ex gratia as compensation.

I was wondering is there any minimum requirement to be paid as a compensation for termination of services in the labour law of Malaysia as I have heard that it is usually a minimum of three months?

I am sure you are not the only one affected. I think it would be better if some of you at least go to the Labour Department and find out your entitlements under the law. For your own case, since your period of employment is so short, I don't think you can get much more than what was offered to you. There is no minimum of 3 month compensation

hi! i`ve working this office almost 4 year. if employer wants to terminated me how much shoulf he pays to me.
