Re: Last wage

I put in my resignation letter on 19/12/2007 for 1 month notice and i left the company on 19/1/2008. My last drawn basic salary (Dec '07) was MYR 1,650 and my monthly transport allowance was MYR 150.

I've taken 2 days of unpaid leaves. My claim for Jan '08 is MYR 120. What should my final cheque figure be?

I only received MYR 550. What actions should i take?

First you query your former company as to how the amount was arrived at. If there is no satisfactory answer given, complain to the Labour Department for the balance.

Is it possible of going straight to the labour department instead of former company?

As of now, i'm currently working in Bangkok. That means i only have weekends back in Msia, how can i go about contacting the labour department?

If you are coming back only on weekends, then there will be problem because te Labour Department closes on Saturdays and Sundays. You can lodge a complaint when you are back on vacation.
