Re: working on public holidays.

i'm a promoter in shopping centre.The company asking me to work during Chinese New Year(14,15 &16 Feb 2010) and they wil give me extra RM300. My question is if i don't want t working during this 3days,can company deduct 3days of my salary per day?

You better make it clear to your company that you don't want to work see what they have to say about it. If they really deduct your salary by then, you can complain to the Labour Department.

I was a tour-van drivers, the company asked me to go to work one of the following optional without double pay. If I protest, my company will deduct a day's wages from my basic salary. I want to know the company have the right to do?
1. Hari Raya Haji
2. Deepavali
3. Christmas
