Re: 2010 Public Holidays

Hi, my company working time is Monday to Friday only. Working times is 8am until 6pm and 1 hours break time. I would like to ask if my company announced our public holiday in year 2010 according below is it correct?

New year- 1 Jan (friday)
thaipusam- 30 Jan (Saturday)
Chinese New Year -14 &15 Feb (sunday & monday)
- 17 Feb (Wed) replace Special Holiday
worker day- 1 May (Saturday)
Birthday of Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di-Pertuan Agong- 5 June (Saturday)
National Day - 31 August (Tuesday)
Hari Raya Puasa- 10& 11 Sep (Friday & Saturday)
Deepavali 5 Nov (Friday)
Hari Raya Qurban- 17 Nov (Wed)
Birthday Of Sultan Selangor- 11 Dec (sat)
Christmas day- 25 (Sat)

** holiday fall on a weekly rest day (sunday as the case may be), the following day will be substituted as a Public Holiday; and if such following day is oso a Public holiday, then the next day following it shall be Public Holiday.

I would like to know if public holiday fall in Saturday, are we entitle to replace it on Monday?
As i know saturday we canot replace but only sunday can replace it on monday.

If cannot replace on Monday, so our Public holiday in 2010 only have 8 days in this year. It likes unfair to us.

Our working time is it too long? It like more longer working time compare to other company.

It is true that more public holidays fall on Saturdays in 2010. It is just a bit unfortunate. There will not be replacement on Monday.

2. Your company's working hours are not too long. The total working hours per week is still below 48 hours.
