Re: Excessive Medical Leave

We have a staff who is currently pregnant and she has asthma too. Since she has pregnant, she has been on long medical leave for months. As a result of her prolong medical leave, the department work load has adversely affected. Please advise what can the employer do in this circumstance. Can the employer terminate her employment based on frustration of contract or to consider her under prolong illness?

Discuss the problems faced as a result of her medical problem see whether she is willing to resign. Otherwise, the company may have not choice but to let her go by terminating her service. But terminating a pregnant employee can be problems. Consult the Labour Department and get some official advice.
