Re: unlawful termination

i was terminated by my previous boss, due to i was taken 1day mc provided by doctor. the day when i consult the doctor due to having flu and fever but yet due to nxt day i was having a asthma attact yet i get my mom to inform my boss due to i'm not comfortable to talk. In advance during interview i'd inform that i've asthma since my childhood time. I understand if i would wanted to handle it labour department my previous boss would hv to pay for my compensation(i still kept the sms that she send to me the day while i'm on mc and i attend my wrk the nxt day and recorded whatever she'd told me to leave immediate, where i'd told her if possible i'll stay till end of the month but yet she said no) the question i'll like to ask is that she'd terminate me on July 2008 and will it be too late if i handle this to labour department now?
Looking forward for your kind advice
Thank you

Not late but why waited for so long? You can still go to the Labour Department to make a complaint.

Thank you for your kind reply
It was because my current job was on shift basis and most of my off day falls on weekend and eventually no idea what are the steps i should do.
would like to undersand what are the compensation i can get? i join the company on the 10.09.2007 and she had terminate me on the 17.07.2008. i'm a pre-school teacher on that period of time and i was handling transport as well and most of the miscellaneous was handle by me too, i would like to understand can i claim for the kids transportation fees for the month that i had handle and can i claim back all the miscellaneous fees? (all receipt is with her)
How long will the Labour Department take to process the complaint and eventually i did suspect that my previous boss din't pay for my EPF and SOCSO cause during the period i work under her company i dint receive any Letter from EPF

In view of your short period of service, there is no compensation worth talking about. Anyway, in view of your busy work schedule, I think you can just forget about making claims that are not certain of getting. Just be more aware of your rights when working for your present employer.

Does it mean even i've the offer letter and confirmation letter provided by the company and was terminated without any reason and i can't make any claim due to that short period? eventually can i gather with the 2 previous colleague and raise a complaint to Labour Department cause both of them was facing the same issue as well, one of them only able to get $100++ due to training deduction and count on the pay was count on daily basis due to Nov & Dec is a school holiday, and the other colleague get around $300 due to the same issue the wages was count on daily basis too (both of them are confirm staff and yet both of them did gave 1mth notice) it seems like unfair to us where we work so hard and end up we have to paid to the boss. especially myself i felt it was unfair i seldom take mc and even i'm sick i still attend my work, she(boss) understand that and right this situation due to short period of service she can terminate anyone without paying any wages, that sound unfair, is that anyway to reinstate?

In that case, I suggest you go and make the claims at the Labour Department. As for claim for reinstatement under the Industrial Relations Act, it is too late. Claim should be made within 60 days from the date of termination.
