Re: Sick Leave

Dear Sir,
I have a staff joined work on March 2008. She have submitted 2 sick leave which is from 15/09-28/09 and 29/09-11/10. Due to the period have included Public Holiday, Sunday and Company Indicated Holiday, therefore I would like to know how was her sick leave calculation?

Sunday falling on the period of sick leave is included but public holiday falling on the sick leave period is excluded.

May I have more clear calculation on it ?!

She will entitle total 14days MC although not yet completed 1year service or may just entitle 8days only which calculate by "purata"?

And due to my company have indicated holiday (means that one Saturday we work for whole day and following Saturday will consider a rest day), therefore the MC falling on Co. Indicated Holiday will consider included or is excluded ?

1. There is no such prorated sick leave. It is 14 days ev en with less than a year service.

I have a new employee start working on 04/06/2009, but she has
submited a sick leave (MC) from 12/06/2009 to 15/06/2009, is she
entitled to get this sick leave? Is the employer has to pay salary for
her sick leave by this month?
