Re: 1 hour ot for unindemnity

My working hour is 8.30am to 5.00pm from monday to friday. My company policy is from 5.00pm to 6.00pm will not be reimburse as OT CLAIM, but started from 6.00pm will only considered as OT. And i have to stay in office for at least 1 more hour from 6.00pm only entitled to enter the OT CLAIM.But this "strangeful" provision already stated in my agreement letter when the 1st day i came in this office. My question is,is it legally? How and can i rescind it?

It is strange indeed. If you are covered by the Employment Act, there will be no problem because anyone working more than 8 hours will be entitled to OT. If you are not covered by that Act, consult the Industrial Relations Department if there is anything that can be done.
