Re: Wrongful dismissal

Recently a close friend of mine has been terminated without notice. The position was an assistant manager in a multinational corporation involved in sales. The reasons giving for termination were unsubstantiated and the inquiry a joke. She has been the top performer within the organization and within her team is responsible for 40% of the sales for the last 2 and a half years. She was recently promoted and is still under a 6 month probationary period. The main reason for the inquiry and termination was that a malicious letter was circulated within the organization and prompted an inquiry which was conducted unprofessionally and with bias. Essentially they were bullying her due to her lack of experience this is her first job out of college and her command of english is rather poor. She is the top performer with numerous recognitions and has contributed significantly to the company with no history of misconduct. What are the alternatives available to her?

You can help her to make a claim under Section 20 of the Industrial Relations Act at the Industrial Relations Department for wrongful dismissal. Do it fast.
