Re: Annual Leave and maternity leave

I am working with an retail company. We are given 8 days annual leave.
During the Chinese New Year. Our company closed from 5th Feb to 14 Feb.
Our company have deducted our annual leave for 5,6, 9, 11,12,13 and 14.

Does the company have right to deduct our leave . As we does not request for such a long leave. End of the day, we only have balance of 1 annual leave left. And we need to take unpaid leave after the usage of balance one day.

I will be taking my maternity leave from end of November onwards, one of the director have ask me to return to work after my baby full month which is one month after giving birth as I am manager level.

Will I be terminate if I return to work only after the 60days of maternity leave ? I am a Sales Person in the company, can they terminate me by giving reason not archive the quota ? Especially , after I return from maternity leave.

Thank you

To me, it is not reasonable for your company to that. They should give and take but in this case they take all.

When the time comes, get your gynae to certify that you will be fit to resume work after only 30 days, just to strengthen your case. Should they terminate your service for whatever reasons, you can always complain to the Industrial Relations Department.
