Hi, i have enquiry regarding annual leave and unpaid leave:

1. Annual Leave: How is the calculation of annual leave, is it basic/working days of the month? Because my company is running 5 working days(some months are 23 working days and some are 21 working days) or directly divided by 26 days?

2. Unpaid Leave: is it basic / days of calender month or working days of the month?

1. This question is not very settled and has been asked over and over. Some say by 22 because 26 less 4 Saturdays. I personally agree that it should be 22. Some say it is 26 and that is what the law says. Give a call to the Labour Office and ask for a ruling. When you have got the answer, post it here for the benefits of others.

2. For unpaid leave it is divided by the number of days in the month.

how to calculate the basic salary for the new join employee ? if let say he just join 11-july 2008.salary RM 700.00
