Hi, i do have some questions as below:
1. Does employment law protect part-timer? (We do not have any official employment letter)
2. I work in one of the Sports Toto outlet (in Kedah), RM25 perday, from 9am to 7pm. In the 20th Jan 2008 is Kedah Sultan's Birthday, we (me and my friend) was working on that day, but at the end of the month, the employer was just paying extra allowances RM12.50 for that public holiday, is it lawful? Do i have the right to make a complain?
And the most important is, we are not the first victim. A few previous employees were working on public holidays for the employers, but at the end when paying salary, the employer just paid for extra allowances (extra half day's salary). His reason is the business not very good.
