Re: Hospitalization & MC Entitlement

A staff admitted hospital after met with an accident, broke his leg and hospitalized for a few days and given MC for total 36 days. We consider this as hospitalization.

After a month, he went back to the hospital for follow-up appointment and he's given another 13 days MC because his leg still need to be cemented. His annual MC entitlement is 18 days.

Is the 13 days considered hospitalization even though he went to work after the first MC dued? Since he's been hospitalized for more than his MC entitlement, can he still take normal MC? Or we can just consider he still has 18 days MC?

What if afterwards, he got MC because of fever (nothing to do with his first hospitalized)? Can we still consider as MC?

Please enlighten me. Thanks.

First, please let me have the following information:

1. Did the accident happen during work, on his way to work or returning home from work:

2. Total number of days he stayed in hospital;

3. Total number of days he was on sick leave (not in hospital):
