Re: after resigned, can the former company taked any l

i had resigned from company A. However, i was called back 1 year ++ later to answer a few stuff. my question are:-

1. can i still look at the previous documents (the file concerned) from company A, the documents was dated somewhere in 2004.
2. can i say NO to company A?
3. do they have rights to take any legal actions on me?
4. do they have rights to interfere my work with my new company?
5. can they sue me based on inviduals?. however, its a company related matters.

If I were you, I would just ignore them for the time being and let them take whatever action they want to take.

ok. thanx for the reply.
however, i like to be more specific now. the company A i worked before was a bank. can the bank take any serious action under BAFIA act against me?

i was queried by the bank's auditor's, am i still reliable to answer since the matter was in 2004 & i resigned in 2006.

thank you very much

sorry to post again...

i am worried that this will effect my morale/performance with my current employer.

can the former employer informed my curreny employer about the situation?

the bank customer concerned has lodged a police report & wanted to sue the bank & now the bank is the midst of tracing back all the file concerned & i was accused of negligence. the matter was way back in 2004 & i resigned on May 2006. can the bank take serious actions against me? as far as i know... since i am no longer a bank's employee, i cant be allowed to look back at the file concerned.

i am taking necessary steps to defend myself & much confident i did the right thing.

pls respond & thank-you very much.

Just wait for the bank to take action they really want to. Then you can take step as to how to defend yourself If you are still so worried, why not consult a lawyer?

i have submitted i month notice as required. But unfortunately the company refuse to pay my last salary at the end of this month. They can only pay me later in 3 - 6 months period, which is obviously is not fair to me coz i've already served proper notice. What is your advice as i don't want to make things worse.
