I had submitted a letter of resignation on 27 November 2007, giving a one (1) month's notice as stipulated in the Letter of Employment. Therefore, my last day with the company should be 26 December 2007.
However, I had 16 days annual leave which I contra-ed off from 26 December 2007, therefore I left the company on 29 November 2007.
As such, how should the calculation of my salary be for the month of December 2007? My monthly salary is RM2900.00.
The company had calculated the gross salary as follows: RM2900/26 X 18 days = RM2007.70; where the 18 days are based on weekdays in December. Is this calculation correct? If NO, what should the salary calculation be?
