Re: forfeited leave

Dear sir

I m a senior manager with salary RM 4K
I m working for hotel x, as we are always busy with staff ratio at 2.9 staff to room room that always does not permitted me and other manager to clear our leave on time we even have to extend and forward our weekly off days.
Last year company has forfeited my 27 leave.
This year may look the same as I still have the balance of 50 over days.
I have plan and schedule my leave but as usual my leave was not approved
due to busy period. I have compiled my leave form approved and not approved
what should i do who should i refer to

Thank you

Since you are out of the cope of the Employment Act, why not try to get some help from the Industrial Relations Department.

Dear Sir,

Quick question. Is compassionate leave (in case of death) recognise by labour law. If yes what is the min. and max. entitlement?

Regards

There is no provision for compassionate leave under the Employment Act. It depends on the individual policy of the companies. So some companies have such benefit for the employees while others do not have such.
